Excursion from Russian to Down Under | Parker Symphony Orchestra’s 30th Anniversary Musical Cruise

  • PACE Center 2000 East Pikes Peak Way Parker, CO, 80138 United States (map)

Join us as we embark on a musical cruise around the world to celebrate 30 years of bringing music to Parker and beyond! Our second excursion of the season takes us to Russia and Germany with Wagner’s darkly beautiful “Overture to the Flying Dutchman” and Shostakovich’s “Festive Overture,” followed by a fun piece from even further beyond in Australia, “Jabiru Dreaming.”

Our excursion ends with Tchaikovsky’s familiar but spectacular “Symphony #5!” Your spirits will soar with this musical offering!

ABOUT THE PARKER SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

The Parker Symphony Orchestra is a volunteer community orchestra that performs at the PACE Center from October to May. Founded in 1994, our 2023-24 season will be our 30th year together. Formerly the South Suburban Community Orchestra, we became the Parker Symphony Orchestra in 2011. Our mission is to perform orchestral music that will educate, entertain, and inspire the people of Parker, our musicians, and the surrounding Denver-area communities.
